TRENDS IN MATERIALS - TEXTURED METAL
Continuing with the theme of embossment as they new pattern, this featured strongly on metalware as well as ceramics. Tribal patterns were common but mostly seen as simple mark-making. As well as this texture also appeared as evidence of the making process (hammering marks for example). All of the product examples noted were in a matt fnish and nearly always gold/brass colour. Hollader, Mobach and Bloomingville showcased this key look.
