Tri-Pod Bases
A table with four legs is pretty standard.  There has been an emergence of tables with three legs.  The balancing of three legs requires the use of a circular table top.  This is used in a variety of styles and tends to be used on smaller tables such as side tables or cocktail tables, although it can also be used on larger tables, but requires more thoughtful engineering.  This is something you should expect to see more of in the future.
