Sequins have been used to embellish clothing and accessories for quite some time, adorning

everything from pillows to shoes and more, reversible sequins are here to stay for the next

couple of months at least, and with these colour-changing fabrics that have been everywhere of late, courting the gaze of the glitz-prone tween shopper.

Designed to flip from one side to another when you run your hand along them, the reversible sequin trend continues by capitalizing on the popularity of unicorns, mermaids, llamas, narwhals, and other stylish themes

Reversible sequins started to make their mark towards the end of 2017. A simple concept of

Products with swiping the sequins in a certain direction to reveal a new colour or style.

I think this trend really speaks to children and how they respond positively to contrast and vibrant tones. Children are constantly touching things and these sequin fabrics give them a sensory experience beyond colour.

Being able to customise your plush toy with different designs is just an additional way of broadening its appeal. Super soft and cuddly where you can create cool and crazy patterns right onto your toy, wipe it off and start again, the possibilities are endless

 Like other trends of recent years I’m sure the flip-sequin trend will soon fizzle out, giving way to some new iteration of plastic.
