Parents are more aware than ever of the impact of their consumption on the planet and therefore choosing their children’s toys can be a serious headache for eco-minded parents. There are many degrees of sustainability, eco-friendliness and recyclability and now in some form cover a wide range of toy types, including imaginative play, dressing up, outdoors, bath time and board games.

LEGO launched its first bricks made from plant-based bioplastic, and has committed to design its entire range using the material by 2030

It is great to see so many toys on offer and more and more brands tapping into the mindset of millennial parents to create something innovative and genuinely eco-friendly whilst creating toys that still appeal to children who may not be concerned about the eco credentials.
